Take Cover  Queensryche have joined the ranks of other 80’s acts like Poison, Tesla, Def Leppard and your Mom and have just released the cleverly titled “Take Cover” on Rhino Records November 13th.  Stream it in its entirety on ArtistDirect.com here.  Songs range from Pink Floyd’s “Welcome To The Machine” to The Police’s “Synchronicity II” to a track from the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”, so you can tell Geoff Tate and the boyz are definitely trying to show some range (Geoff did always have a flair for the dramatic…hmmmmm).

MHband Machine Head’s video for the song “Now I Lay Thee Down” has been posted on the Headbanger’s Blog.  The video was filmed in San Francisco, mostly at the Regency Center Theater, which was built back in 1909.  Apparently, a good amount of the original theater materials were used in the shoot, which incorporates the band with the actors in a tragic performance.  Hopefully no one broke any 100 year old artifacts while pitting.

High On Fire High On Fire’s new video for their track “Rumors Of War” has now been posted online here.  The song comes off of High On Fire’s blistering new album “Death Is This Communion” recently released by Relapse Records.  The band was formed by guitarist/vocalist Matt Pike in 1998 out of the ashes of sludge metal kings Sleep (I saw those guys play in a bowling alley back in the day), and the new album is definitely a sonic ride ranging from rampaging rockers to hypnotic jams.  Check this one out for sure!
