Queensryche have joined the ranks of other 80’s acts like Poison, Tesla, Def Leppard and your Mom and have just released the cleverly titled “Take Cover” on Rhino Records November 13th. Stream it in its entirety on ArtistDirect.com here. Songs range from Pink Floyd’s “Welcome To The Machine” to The Police’s “Synchronicity II” to a track from the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”, so you can tell Geoff Tate and the boyz are definitely trying to show some range (Geoff did always have a flair for the dramatic…hmmmmm).

You can now preview the entire new solo CD “Elect the Dead” from System of a Down’s frontman Serj Tankian here. The disc is due in stores on October 23rd through Warner Bros. Records.
Skindred’s video for their killer new track “Ratrace” has been posted online here. The song comes from the band’s upcoming new album “Roots Rock Riot”, which drops on October 23rd through Bieler Bros. Records.
Machine Head’s video for the song “Now I Lay Thee Down” has been posted on the Headbanger’s Blog. The video was filmed in San Francisco, mostly at the Regency Center Theater, which was built back in 1909. Apparently, a good amount of the original theater materials were used in the shoot, which incorporates the band with the actors in a tragic performance. Hopefully no one broke any 100 year old artifacts while pitting.
